Visit Durango, and the City of Durango is excited to announce the inaugural Spoketober, a series of events that will take place throughout Durango for the entire month of October 2022. This event is a celebration of Durango’s tight-knit and passionate cycling community. It will highlight the decades of dedication residents have committed to making Durango one of the top cycling destinations in the nation. Participating organizations include Durango Trails, the Adaptive Sports Association, Fort Lewis College and the Fort Lewis College’s Cycling Team, Purgatory Resort, Team Segment 28, Bike Durango, the Collegiate Mountain Bike National Championships, Durango’s DEVO Youth Halloween Parade, Durango Hot Springs, the Center of Southwest Studies at Fort Lewis College, and a local legends meet-and-greet with cycling stars like Ned Overend, Todd Wells, Payson McElveen, Howard Grotts, Ellen Campbell, and more at Mountain Bike Specialists.
