Durango Arts Center Theatre is happy to announce the auditions of Bye Bye Birdie! We are looking for actors age 14 and up! Don’t worry, you don’t have to stay the whole time, just until after your audition. Just make an appearance before 8:30 to get a spot and you’re set!

Let’s get an early start to your weekend with… Thursdays Are A Drag hosted by Aria PettyOne at Starlight Lounge! Trivia: 7:30pm-9:30pm Featuring 3 rounds of rotating trivia w/ prizes for the winner of each round! Grand Prize goes to the team with the most overall points! Theme Night the Last Thursday of each month! Lip Sync Battles: 9:30pm-? Choose your favorite song to perform for our crowd! The Top 2 crowd favorites will go head to head in a lip sync battle to be crowned our weekly Lip Sync Assassin! Sign ups are during trivia!

San Juan Nature Walk

Join San Juan Mountains Association staff and volunteers for an interpretive naturalist walk! Learn about wildflowers, ecology, wildlife, geology, and cultural history in our beautiful San Juan Mountains. This walk is offered every Friday starting June 9 through September 29. The fun, fact-filled nature walk is moderate, We’ll be moving at a “walking” pace for around 1-2 miles. Wear walking shoes and clothing layers suitable for the mountain weather. What to Bring: Backpack with your water, snacks, camera, and binoculars. Bring hiking poles if you like using them. Sorry, we love our four-legged friends, but no pets allowed. Durango First Friday

Durango First Friday Art crawl with local goods, food, culture, and music. Every first Friday of the month, starting May 5th, 2023! Hosted by Local First, Durango Creative District, and the Art Room Collective Durango First Friday is a celebration of all things local in our incredible mountain town- art and music, culture, unique goods, real food, movement makers, and our amazing community! Free and open to the public, this self guided, monthly event will take place rain or shine, the First Friday of every month throughout Durango with a focus on main street from north to south! Businesses of any and all kinds open their doors and their walls to host an artist of their choice and follow a “reception” format- artist info, beverages and/or snacks provided, maybe even a musician- while locals and tourists alike flood the area to socialize, shop, eat, and celebrate the arts in all forms.
