Welcome to QUEER SPACE at Buckley Park! With live music by Profetic Calaveras and Denae Stucka-Benally and a family-friendly youth talent show, we’ve got a fun filled night planned! In addition, bid on our silent auction items, take photos at the photo booth and get dinner from Rez Girl Catering and Purple Ice Cream Truck.
All proceeds from the event are going toward the youth of culture program. The Youth of Culture/Color is a support group for IBPOC (Indigenous, Black, and People of Color) youth, 2SLGBTQIA+ (2 Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans*, Queer, Intersex, Asexual, and more) IBPOC youth, and IBPOC youth who identify with disabilities. The Youth of Culture/Color group will be dedicated to positive youth development focused on dealing with topics related to race, ethnicity, culture, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, and mental health. The Youth of Color/Culture group is meant to be a confidential space where youth of color and culture will discuss topics like systemic injustice and oppression.
We recommend bringing lawn chairs or a blanket to sit in the grass in front of the stage. We also ask that you leave your furry friends at home, as dogs will not be allowed into the event.

- 4pm to 4:30pm- Opening music by Denae Stucka-Benally
- 4:30pm to 5pm – Land acknowledgement and Introductions
- 5pm-5:45pm – Profetic Calaveras
- 5:45-6:15pm – Youth Talent Show
- 6:15pm-7pm – Profetic Calaveras
